John D. Stephens, Director, Founder and Chief Executive
John D. Stephens, age 50, one of the founders of the Company, is an entrepreneur and medical device executive. Since March 2006, Mr. Stephens has been involved with the Company's start-up operations. From January 1993 to March 2006, Mr. Stephens was employed by Biofield Corp., a publicly-traded medical device company, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and, subsequently, as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Stephens was a director of Biofield from December 2002 to March 2006, at which time the controlling interest in Biofield was sold to a third party. Prior to joining Biofield, Mr. Stephens was involved in the development and operations of medical facilities. Mr. Stephens holds several US patents for medical devices and sensor systems.
George den Das, Proposed Chief Operating Officer
George den Das, has been a Managing Director of Advanced Medical Technologies since September, 1998, an international publicly traded safety syringe manufacturing company. From September 1983 to August 1998 Mr. den Das was a Production Manager for Adcock Ingram Critical Care, a division of Baxter Healthcare. Mr. den Das has extensive experience and expertise in safety syringe manufacturing operations, quality systems, statistical process control and all management responsibilities related to production / manufacturing operations.
Barbara DeVivo, Vice President Marketing
Mrs. DeVivo has spent her career in the medical device industry serving various roles in marketing from market analysis, market research, product management and professional relations. Most recently, Mrs. DeVivo served as Director of Professional Relations for Thermage and was responsible for managing the key opinion leaders. From Jan 2005 - May 2007, she served as Director of Marketing for RITA Medical where she lead the company's drug eluting therapy efforts in the oncology market, broke through and built the US market with a novel procedure and served the company through product management, business development and market analysis for emerging businesses. From June 2003 to Jan. 2005, Mrs. DeVivo worked for CR Bard managing the company's brachytherapy business. For the five year period prior thereto, Mrs. DeVivo was employed at Kimberly-Clark in product brand management, market research and global market analysis.
Timothy J. Moran
Timothy J. Moran, age 40, is a partner in the law firm of Dewey & LeBoeuf, L.L.P., specializing in capital markets, project finance and acquisition finance transactions within the infrastructure and intellectual property sectors. Prior to joining Dewey & LeBoeuf in June of 2005, Mr. Moran was a partner in the Chicago-based law firm of Winston & Strawn. Prior to that, Mr. Moran was at the New York firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Kenneth Anstey
Kenneth Anstey, age 57, has a long history in the medical device industry, serving in various leadership roles. He was previously president and CEO of Coapt Systems a company that designs, develops, manufactures, and markets bio absorbable implants and president and CEO of ORATEC Interventions, Inc., an orthopedic device company he led through its IPO in 1996 and its sale to Smith and Nephew in 2002. Mr. Anstey has also served as president and CEO of Biofield Inc., a privately held cancer diagnostics company; and Mitek Surgical Products, an orthopedic implant company that he took public in 1990 and sold to Johnson & Johnson in 1995. In addition, Mr. Anstey has had leadership roles at ConvaTec; Edward Weck, Inc.; and American Hospital Supply. Mr. Anstey has agreed to become a director and intends to take office upon the closing of this financing .
